CNG VEHICLE GAS EMISSIONS CAPTURE BY ADSORPTION PROCESS USING ACTIVATED CHAR COAL
Catalytic converter is another major part which plays an important
role in the exhaust system, the process of oxidation and reduction of on
dangerous gases emitted from the exhaust gases, there are also major
break through which helps in improving the performance of catalytic
converter without any changes their properties, like back pressure and
flow of gases.
In order to reduce carbon dioxide from the automobile exhaust
emission we used granular activated charcoal which has diffusion
of adsorb-ate is thus an important factor this carbons are suitable of
adsorption of gases and vapors, because they diffuse rapidly.
Compressed Natural
Gas (CNG) engines are growing in interest in the market due to their ability in
the limitation of NOX and CO2 emissions. Un-burnt methane
is harder to oxidize than gasoline derived unconverted Hydro Carbons and it
leads to strong green house effect. To reduce the above effect, the methane
adsorbent is implemented in the design of CNG powered vehicle.
Tests conducted:
- SEM analysis
- Gas analyzer
Cost of the Project: Rs. 25000 /-
