CHARACTERISTICS AND MORPHOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF KIGELIA PINNATA NATURAL FIBER

Natural fibres are fibres that are produced by plants, animals, and geological processes. They can be used as a component of composite materials, where the orientation of fibres impacts the properties. Natural fibers can also be matted into sheets to make products such as paper, felt or fabric.

This project investigates the mechanical treatment of natural fiber. It is used to find durability of the fibers. This development paved the way for engineers and researchers to come up with natural fiber a composite that exhibits better mechanical properties. The present project is based on the Kigelia pinnata fiber characteristics and their chemical behavior. The tensile and scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis are done on the fiber.
